Self-care is essential not only to our physical, mental, and emotional health but also to our spiritual health. Here are some ways to connect your spiritual practice with your self-care.
Spend personal time with God.
Take some time to meditate on Scripture, read a Christian lifestyle book, or pray and worship.
Invite God into your daily activities.
Whatever you're already doing that's refreshing you, invite God into it! This can look like praying while cooking or listening to a Christian podcast while shopping.
Admire nature.
When you're walking on the beach, running, jogging, exercising, or just spending time outdoors, notice what's happening around you and the intricacies of your world. Thank God for His creation!
Worship while you create.
If you're the creative type, when you're writing, painting, or creating something, have worship music in the background and worship as you're doing that act of self-care.
