Boost Your Mood in 60 Seconds
We all have bad days, but that doesn’t mean our mood has to be affected! Here are some quick & easy ways to boost your mood in 60 seconds or less!
Smell something you enjoy.
Light your favorite candle, put on your favorite lotion, or turn on a diffuser with your favorite essential oils.
Sip something tasty.
Get a yummy cup of coffee, tea, flavored water, juice -- whatever you enjoy!
Stretch out.
Stand up and stretch! Reach your hands above your head. Reach for your toes. Do some neck rolls and relieve tension.
Smile.
Smile is an instant mood booster! Smile at someone, or just smile for yourself.
Think about what you’re grateful for.
Bring to mind reasons to be thankful. Focusing on things you’re grateful for will help get your mind off other things.
Do some deep breathing or sigh.
Deep breathing is a reset for your body. Take some deep breaths or let out a heavy sigh. This releases tension in your body.
Do a power pose (think Wonder Woman!).
Stand up and strike a power pose! This is a physical representation that you can do this!
Compliment someone.
Doing something nice for someone else will also make you feel good! Find someone to compliment, and tell them something good about themselves.
Hug someone (or hug yourself!).
Hugs are an instant mood booster! Hug a friend or family member, or hug yourself!
