Dopamine shifts our mindsets and moods and helps to remove all the "junk" we experience on a day-to-day basis.
One way to release dopamine is by tapping into the right side of the brain and being creative. Try coloring in a coloring book, playing with legos, writing a song, or cooking your favorite meal. Find something not part of your everyday lifestyle and do it more often!
Creativity Boosts Self-Esteem.
Creativity also boosts your self-esteem. Let's say you love to paint. When you take time to paint, and the finished product is beautiful, you feel confident in your work. You do something you love and admire, and it comes out great, which boosts your self-esteem!
Creativity Increases Cognitive Function.
When you're focused on a creative activity, you're not focused on anything else. By occupying yourself with fun, creative things, you help yourself cope with the things you're experiencing in life. Creativity helps shift your mindset and taps into the part of the brain that we don't often exercise.

Creative activities can also be social activities! Find a fun, creative outlet and invite friends to do it with you! Even try some classes like exercise or cooking classes to build friendships.
