Tips for a Successful Week
One of the best ways to have a successful week is preparation! Here are a few ways you can set yourself up for success this week:
1. Set Realistic Goals.
Look at your schedule for the week and get an idea of the timeframe you have available. Ask yourself: What hours am I working? What errands do I have to run? What appointments do I have? What time will I rest? What time do I have left? Once you get an idea of your schedule, set realistic goals for what you want to accomplish with the available time and resources.
2. Create a To-Do List.
Take your realistic goals and break them into smaller tasks. For example, if your goal is to clean out your garage this week, identify tasks such as unpacking boxes, organizing items, and discarding containers. Once you have your smaller tasks, add them to a to-do list.
3. Keep Track of Your Progress.
As you complete tasks, mark them off of your list! Marking things off your to-do list will help you feel accomplished throughout the week. It will also physically represent your progress toward achieving your goals!
4. Celebrate!
Reward yourself for getting your tasks done! Watch your favorite show, grab a coffee, or walk on the beach. Even if you didn't accomplish everything on the to-do list, you still made progress in achieving your goals!
