How to Cope with Stress

How do you deal with stress?

Without realizing it, we often deal with stress in unhealthy ways. Things like overeating, consuming alcohol, etc., can actually put more pressure on us. Therefore, here are a few healthier ways to deal with stress:

Take a break.

If a project or situation is causing stress, it's okay to take five. Get up and walk around. Get some fresh air. Read a page or two of a book. Find ways to break up the day's stress by doing small activities that refresh you.

Get some exercise.

Go for a walk outside or follow a consistent exercise program. Moving your body will help relieve stress.

Find a quiet place.

Sometimes, you just need to find a quiet place! It's okay to take a few minutes to withdraw and be alone. Spend this time praying or meditating, resetting your mind for the rest of the day.
