5 Minute Faith-Based Mindfulness Practice
Needing a moment of peace? Here is a five-minute faith-based mindfulness practice.
Find a quiet space.
Begin by finding a quiet space.
Rest your body.
Sit with your feet flat on the floor, your arms relaxed, and your hands resting on your legs.
Focus on your breathing.
With your eyes open or closed, bring awareness to your breathing. If distracting thoughts arise, notice them and let them go as you bring your awareness back to your breath.
Read a Bible verse out loud.
With your chosen verse in mind, begin slowly reading and repeating the verse either out loud or quietly to yourself. Continue to breathe and repeat the verse for five minutes.
