Kindness in the Family

Acts of kindness are significant, especially when they serve those closest to us! Here are some ways you can show kindness to your family members:

Leave notes.

One way to show kindness to family members is to leave little words of encouragement or sweet, thoughtful notes in the refrigerator, on the coffee pot, on a bathroom mirror, or in a lunchbox. Put them somewhere your loved ones will see them.

Help out with chores.

Another way you can show kindness is by helping out with chores. If you see your spouse doing the dishes, join them and take some of the load for them. If it's a child who's picking up toys on the floor, join them. This shows them that acts of kindness can be small, meaningful, and helpful and that they make us feel really good when we do them.

Visit a family member.

Another way you can show kindness is by showing up and visiting a family member you haven't seen in a while. This could be an aunt, uncle, cousin, grandparent, parent, or sibling. Sometimes, just showing up and giving a little bit of your time is the most kind thing you can do.
