Gratitude as Worship

Professing gratitude is a form of worship that deepens our relationship with God. When we express gratitude through worship, we are reminded that God is good in every situation--the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Here are some ways you can express gratitude through worship today:

Thank God for who He is.

Turn on worship music that sings about God's character or verbally express to God what you love about Him. Thank Him for who He is.

Thank God for what He's done.

While praying, thank God for every blessing He's given you. Think about how He has shown up for you in the past, and thank Him for those times.

Thank God for what He's going to do.

Full of faith, thank God in advance for what He will do. Maybe you're praying for something specific that you haven't seen happen yet; present this request to God and end it with, "God, I thank you in advance for doing what only you can do in this situation!"
