10 Tips to Manage Stress
No human is a stranger to stress, so here are some tips to better manage it:
Pray.
Pray and invite God into the situation. Tell Him what's worrying you, and cast your cares on Him. Trust that He will help you work it out!
Meditate.
Meditate on encouraging Bible verses and messages to reframe your thoughts positively.
Worship.
Worship or sing out loud to relax your nervous system.
Take Inventory.
Take inventory of your personal needs. What do you need that you are getting? What do you need that you're not getting? Address these needs so you can move forward.
Own and Communicate Your Feelings.
Own your emotions and communicate assertively, responsibly, and honestly about your feelings.
Say "No."
Learn the art of saying "no." Remember: Saying "no" to one thing frees you up to say "yes" to something else.
Create (and Use) a To-Do List.
Create daily or weekly to-do lists and rank the items in order of priority. Bonus: Check them off as you complete the items for a nice dopamine drip!
Ask for Help.
You can't do everything on your own. Ask for help and delegate when appropriate.
Schedule Self-Care.
Schedule time for rest, self-care, and time with a life-giving community (preferably daily, but definitely weekly) to address your needs.
Practice Gratitude.
End each day reflecting on what you're grateful for. Be specific!
